    JenaValve Technology, Inc., a privately-held, venture-backed developer, manufacturer and marketer of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) systems for the treatment of aortic valve disease, announced today that it has successfully completed the first two implantations of its second generation transapical JenaValve TAVI system in Canada. These are also the first two implantations of the second generation transapical JenaValve TAVI system outside of Europe.

    Sonendo (Laguna Hills, California), the maker of technology for the endodontic marketplace, has completed the second of two equity financings originally announced last year, raising an additional $18 million for a total of $27 million. The proceeds from the financing will be used to finalize technology development, fund ongoing clinical studies and commercialize Sonendo’s Multisonic Ultracleaning System, set to launch in 2014.

    Diagnoplex SA, a developer of molecular diagnostics for colon cancer and Debiopharm Diagnostics SA, part of the Swiss-based global biopharmaceutical group of companies Debiopharm Group™, with a focus on the development of prescription drugs that target unmet medical needs, including oncology and companion diagnostics, today announced that Diagnoplex has secured 1.3 million Swiss francs from a financing round led by Debiopharm.
